Adventure Learning’s mission is to foster growth and to enhance the well-being of children and families through enjoyable, nature-based, active learning experiences. We believe that the foundation of a sustainable society requires that children learn resilience, cooperation, self-confidence, and the connection between our everyday lives and the natural world.

It doesn’t feel like fall yet in Northern Idaho, but it will be here soon. Exciting things are happening at Adventure Learning Camps. We hope to be hiring an Executive Director soon, and our current Executive Director and founding board member Donal Wilkinson will make a lateral move to Operational Director so that he can focus on developing and teaching the programs that he is passionate about. Our last founding board member resigned recently, Kris Freitag has been a board member since we started, September of 2005. We'd like to thank her for her years of service. Also recently resigned is Eileen McGovern, who has served as a board member and legal advisor for the past 3 years. With these resignations we are looking for two new board members to take their place. Our new site is still under construction, but we wanted to start using it anyway. There are some dead-ends still (a big website no-no, but we’re just so excited to start using our new site), and some sections that still need to be fleshed out.
